The Hub Trust
The Hub Trust is a registered charity (no. 116834) rooted in our Christian faith working to see people of all ages and backgrounds to flourish and reach their potential.
Our work is people focused - moulded around each individual to enable them to grow, develop new skills and reach their potential.
Our vision to be a safe space to explore faith, grow as family, and follow Jesus.
Throughout what we do, we want to highlight three key areas:

Community
At the heart of what we do is a desire to see people belong to a community where they are known and loved. This is increasingly important and we have become more isolated as a society. A 2019 YouGov survey found that 18% of men and 14% of women do not have even one close friend and that globally, a third of individuals experience regular feelings of loneliness. We challenge this through….
Sunday Gatherings
The work of our morning community is orientated around serving the needs of families. Despite this focus there is a wide range of ages who attend, providing a healthy atmosphere where young and old can engage with each other and learn together.
We work to reach the local community, with events such Easter Egg Hunts and Beer and Carols.
The work of the evening community seeks to engage those in their 20s and 30s, the so-called missing generation in the church with a focus on those that would not normally attend a church gathering. People of all ages attend this community, with the majority being under 40.
Each week, a group goes from our evening gathering to the pub next door to where we meet. This provides an opportunity to connect with the local community and socialise together.

In the week
We host a number of events throughout the week whether it’s playing board games, football, grabbing a drink, discussing life or praying together there’s something for everyone to get involved with.
Socials
Throughout the year we run regular one-off socials such as pub trips, pancakes party. This is alongside our midweek small groups that help to develop faith and give people a chance to get to know more people.
Mental Health
Mental Health is an issue that none of us can ignore and all will be affected by at some point in our lives, whether personally or through a loved one. We believe we can help support and encourage those who are particularly struggling. We do this by...
Football
We gather each Tuesday for a weekly open play, mixed ability, football session for adult men at The Arena, Baldock. Our aim is to provide a safe space for men in North Hertfordshire to come together and begin to have open conversations around mental
health and wellbeing through being part of a football community.
'“[Hub Football] gave me the confidence to truly embrace my [life] journey. Without the supportive community that it fosters I may never have taken that first step.”

Wellbeing Week
Each January we run a Wellbeing Week coinciding with Blue Monday. We recognise that this time of year can be particularly difficult for many people and want to give them an opportunity to socialise and talk about their struggles. This often takes the form of socials, simple activities and time to spend together.
Lasting Legacy
We have a passion to see lives changed not just for those who call the hub home now, but those who will in the years to come. We believe that our role is to equip future generations and to see them thrive in our community now. We do this by...
Intergenerational Church
The Hub is a place where each individual is valued no matter their age or position.
We believe that we can learn from each other
and that being intergenerational is very important. Our Sunday gatherings often
involve those who might otherwise be on the fringe, for example our young people are involved in hosting and speaking in our services.
Join Youth Hangout
We have recently joined together with a number of churches across the town to establish a Friday night youth hangout. This is a social space where young people can have fun, get to know each other and grow in skills needed to be well-rounded adult.
Become a Supporter
One way to support the work that we do is to give to us financially.
One-off Gifts or Regular Giving
Every gift, no matter the size, plays a vital role in supporting the mission of the Church within our community. By giving, you help us make a lasting impact and we couldn't do it without you!
To give a one-off amount or set up a regular gift to the Hub Church, simply visit the Parish Giving Scheme where you can easily update your giving amount and opt-in to the Gift Aid scheme very easily which enables us to get 25% extra from the government.
