Sunday Gatherings
Whether you’ve never been to church before or you’re a seasoned pro come and hang out with us throughout the week and a Sunday.
We want you to feel as comfortable as possible when turning up on a Sunday so here’s some extra info to help.
-
When you arrive in the morning you'll see some big blue flags outside so you know you're on the right place! Arrive from 10am to St John's Community Centre.
In the evening there's a helpful sign on Sun Street and you'll see some friendly welcomers who will guide you through. Arrive from 6pm.
-
Usually we start with an icebreaker question to get everyone chatting. We then go through what's going to be happening before a time of sung worship (singing songs to Jesus) led by the worship team. The words are on the screen and feel free to join in or sit and watch. Then we normally have prayer, notices, a talk looking at a passage from the Bible.
Each gathering normally lasts about an hour and a half.
-
Children and young people are such an important part of our community and we want them to feel really welcome! We have groups at the morning gathering for everyone under 18.
You’ll be told exactly when and where to go from the front during the gathering and feel free to accompany your children.
We have buggy access and an area of the main space with toys for small children.
-
Wear whatever you feel comfortable in - we're an informal bunch. Some of us will be in shorts, some in trackies and some in trousers.
If you rock up in a suit and tie that also works for us!
-
Everyone is of equal value and importance at the Hub, no matter our age, gender, ability, ethnicity or sexuality.
Whether you’re single, married, single again, with or without children – and no matter where you've been or what you've done in your life – we’d love to welcome you and we’re also part of the Single Friendly Church Network.
