We are moving 〰️
We are really excited to share some massive news with you: the Hub is moving to St. Faith’s!
For a long time, we have been praying for a space for our church community. We believe church isn't about bricks and mortar - it's about people. But having a roof for our morning and evening communities gives us an amazing opportunity to throw the doors open wider than ever before.
We are so expectant for this next chapter. It is going to be a brilliant adventure together with God.
We are currently busy sorting out all the moving parts, but our very first Sunday service at St. Faith’s will be on the 10th of May.
Here are some important dates for our move:
Sunday, 19 April
10 AM: Morning service at St. Johns Community Centre. Our usual coffee & brunch first, the service starts at 10:30 AM. We’d love to see you there!
5 PM: Prayer and worship evening at St. Faith’s. As we step into the new chapter at St. Faith’s, we want to build the whole thing on prayer. It is the absolute engine room of everything we do. Join us as we gather to seek God’s face and cover this entire move in prayer and worship.
Sunday, 26 April
10 AM: Short farewell service to St. John’s - our faithful home of 5 years. We’d love to thank God for all the things He has done in that space.
11:15 AM: Straight from St. John’s we will be heading to St. Faith’s for a joint brunch - it will be an amazing opportunity for the Hub and St. Faith’s community to come together, eat some good food and get to know each other.
Sunday, 3 May
It's often said that the church is not a building - it's the people. And on the 3rd of May, we get to live that out in a really special way. Instead of gathering in one large building, we're inviting everyone to gather in homes.
There will be a special pre-recorded service that will be available online for you to watch together. We will be praying for the community around St. Faith's, for lives that will be changed there and for God's vision to come fully alive in that space. Sign up here if you want to join a home church.
Sunday, 10 May
10:30 AM: Our very first Sunday service in our new home at St Faith’s. Whether you’re a regular or just curious to see what’s happening, the doors are wide open. Come and grab a coffee, catch up with friends, and let’s start this phenomenal new chapter together. We can’t wait to see you!
5 PM: Launching our very own 5 PM service. We know that Sunday mornings don't work for everyone, and sometimes you just need a different kind of space to breathe. The 5 PM is going to be a bit more calm, a bit more soulful, and a phenomenal place to encounter God as the week ahead begins.
We’re here to help.
We know it can feel a bit weird going to a church for the first time or checking out somewhere new. We want you to feel as comfortable as possible when turning up on a Sunday so here’s some extra info to help.
-
When you arrive in the morning you'll see some big blue flags outside so you know you're on the right place! Arrive from 10am to St John's Community Centre.
-
Usually we start with an icebreaker question to get everyone chatting. We then go through what's going to be happening before a time of sung worship (singing songs to Jesus) led by the worship team. The words are on the screen and feel free to join in or sit and watch. Then we normally have prayer, notices, a talk looking at a passage from the Bible.
Each gathering normally lasts about an hour and a half.
-
Children and young people are such an important part of our community and we want them to feel really welcome! We have groups at the morning gathering for everyone under 18.
You’ll be told exactly when and where to go from the front during the gathering and feel free to accompany your children.
We have buggy access and an area of the main space with toys for small children.
-
Wear whatever you feel comfortable in - we're an informal bunch. Some of us will be in shorts, some in trackies and some in trousers.
If you rock up in a suit and tie that also works for us!
-
Yes! Everyone is of equal value and importance at the Hub, no matter our age, gender, ability, ethnicity or sexuality.
Whether you’re single, married, single again, with or without children – and no matter where you've been or what you've done in your life – we’d love to welcome you and we’re also part of the Single Friendly Church Network.
